Getting your Visa
To travel to Mozambique, your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your entry date and contain at least two blank pages. Depending on your nationality, you may be visa-exempt, eligible for an eVisa, or able to obtain a visa on arrival. Standard visa categories include tourism, business, family visit, study, and work, with tourist and business visas typically allowing stays of up to 30 days, with the possibility of extension. Visa applications can be initiated online through the official platform at https://evisa.gov.mz/. Required documentation generally includes a copy of your passport, a recent photograph, a hotel booking or invitation letter, proof of return travel, and proof of sufficient funds. Visa fees vary depending on the type of visa, and in some cases, even visa-exempt travellers may be required to pay a processing fee upon arrival (approximately 650 Meticais / USD 10). Entry into Mozambique must be made through an international airport or an official border post with immigration facilities. For longer stays, such as employment or residency, applicants must obtain the appropriate permits in advance, in accordance with immigration regulations.
